Ekko lane is cleanest when E-Q makes the third passive hit happen immediately and the movement speed ends the trade for you, because hanging around after the proc is where a lot of bad Ekko lanes start
W gets much better when you place it on the retreat line, tower line, or choke they still need and accept the shield when the stun is not real, since good Ekko Ws are usually predictive and often hidden from fog
Once Ekko can clear quickly, his best games come from making mid lose track of him—clear, disappear, and force a bad guess—because his recent wins carry unusually heavy structure damage and his early leads age worse if the game just stretches out
Use R when it changes the fight immediately, not after you have already lost control of it. The cleanest Ekko ults usually do one of three things: dodge the spell that would lock you long enough to die, snap back through a carry or clustered fight because your trail was already placed well, or reset after a short burst so you can keep space and threaten again. Before you go in, glance at where your shadow will sit in two or three seconds. If that return point is useless or dangerous, take a shorter trade first and wait for a better trail instead of forcing the full commit.
Every third attack or damaging spell on the same target deals bonus magic damage, and grants Ekko a burst of speed if the target is a champion.
Ekko throws a temporal grenade that expands into a time-distortion field upon hitting an enemy champion, slowing and damaging anyone caught inside. After a delay, the grenade rewinds back to Ekko, dealing damage on its return.
Ekko's basic attacks deal bonus magic damage to low health enemies. He can cast Parallel Convergence to split the timeline, creating an anomaly after a few seconds that slows enemies caught inside. If Ekko enters the anomaly, he gains shielding and stuns enemies by suspending them in time.
Ekko rolls evasively while charging up his Z-Drive. His next attack deals bonus damage and warps reality, teleporting him to his target.
Ekko shatters his timeline, becoming untargetable and rewinding to a more favorable point in time. He returns to whenever he was a few seconds ago, and heals for a percentage of the damage received in that duration. Enemies near his arrival zone take massive damage.
