Cast W for the exit, not the body: the Ekko gank is to hide the field behind the target or on the path they want, so they either walk back into you or give up the clean route, and if the stun is not there you still take the shield and keep the play moving .
Fight from your ghost: tag with Q + E, cash passive, leave on the move speed, and only re-enter when your R trail is sitting somewhere useful, because a lot of Ekko’s bad fights come from forcing a second rotation after the clean proc is already over .
Your first clear is buying believable W windows, not a river fistfight; recent data says Ekko can live with an even early game, but once the route gets scrambled and the first item shows up late, his good burst windows disappear much faster .
Use R when it preserves your next decision, not just your health bar. If your first entry already got the passive proc and every cooldown or body is turning toward you, rewind before you have to burn Flash or die finishing a bad second rotation. In dives and pit fights, think about R a few seconds early so your trail sits on the line you want to fight through again. If the ghost is parked somewhere useless, you should usually play the first entry shorter. If it is parked on the choke, the tower edge, or the lane you just crossed, you can take much more aggressive trades because the exit and re-entry are both real.
Every third attack or damaging spell on the same target deals bonus magic damage, and grants Ekko a burst of speed if the target is a champion.
Ekko throws a temporal grenade that expands into a time-distortion field upon hitting an enemy champion, slowing and damaging anyone caught inside. After a delay, the grenade rewinds back to Ekko, dealing damage on its return.
Ekko's basic attacks deal bonus magic damage to low health enemies. He can cast Parallel Convergence to split the timeline, creating an anomaly after a few seconds that slows enemies caught inside. If Ekko enters the anomaly, he gains shielding and stuns enemies by suspending them in time.
Ekko rolls evasively while charging up his Z-Drive. His next attack deals bonus damage and warps reality, teleporting him to his target.
Ekko shatters his timeline, becoming untargetable and rewinding to a more favorable point in time. He returns to whenever he was a few seconds ago, and heals for a percentage of the damage received in that duration. Enemies near his arrival zone take massive damage.
