•Cast W for the exit, not the body: the Ekko gank is to hide the field behind the target or on the path they want, so they either walk back into you or give up the clean route, and if the stun is not there you still take the shield and keep the play moving .
•Fight from your ghost: tag with Q + E, cash passive, leave on the move speed, and only re-enter when your R trail is sitting somewhere useful, because a lot of Ekko’s bad fights come from forcing a second rotation after the clean proc is already over .
•Your first clear is buying believable W windows, not a river fistfight; recent data says Ekko can live with an even early game, but once the route gets scrambled and the first item shows up late, his good burst windows disappear much faster .
