Play bot lane on parallel lines: stand offset from your ADC and work from brush so Q stays clear, Devour stays in range, and your W starts from fog instead of from full vision where everyone just walks out.
On support Tahm, do not eat on contact—let the engage show its lethal half first, then Devour the real burst target, and in a lot of fair fights cash three stacks as Q stun instead of spending R on a greedy offensive swallow.
Tahm’s best games usually come from one clean bot advantage turning into a side-hover skirmish where fog W plus Devour insurance makes the enemy numbers play fail, and the recent data says that first cross-map conversion matters more for him than for nearby engage supports while his long even-or-behind games age worse than peers like Braum, Taric, and Alistar.
Start by shrinking the lane to health preservation and brush fights. Your job is to stop donating HP for low-value Qs and make every trade begin from fog or from the moment they finally walk too close to ward, harass, or hit the wave. Stand on the parallel line so your ADC is still in Devour range, but give up the urge to force visible Ws; against poke lanes, those usually just lose you more health. If they overextend, punish once and make it count. If they do not, keep your lane intact, hold your cooldowns for the real all-in, and look for your first meaningful move once they can no longer freely contest bot.
Tahm Kench puts the heft of his immense body behind his attacks, gaining extra damage based on his total health. Damaging enemy champions builds stacks of An Acquired Taste. At three stacks, he can use Devour on an enemy champion.
Tahm Kench lashes out with his tongue, damaging and slowing the first unit hit and healing himself if he strikes an enemy champion.Applies a stack of An Acquired Taste to enemy champions. If the champion already has 3 stacks of An Acquired Taste, they are stunned and the stacks are consumed.
Dive down and then re-appear at target location, damaging and knocking up all enemies in an area.
Passive: Tahm Kench stores a percent of the damage he takes and heals based on it while out of combat.Active: Convert all stored damage into a temporary shield.
Tahm Kench devours a champion for a few seconds, dealing magic damage if they are an enemy, or shielding them if they are an ally.
